Utty Ring

A wide 18k gold band framed by polished rails, its surface covered by a precise crosshatch grid on a sand-brushed ground, a single polished ribbon cutting across the geometry like a thread pulled taut across a loom. Named for the ancient Sumerian word for weaving, the Utty ring is order and motion held in perfect tension. Each order includes one ring. Images show available color combinations.
The Utty ring takes its name from the ancient Sumerian word for weaving, one of the oldest crafts in human civilization, and one of the most profound. In Mesopotamia, weaving was never merely practical. It was a sacred act, performed in temples by priestesses dedicated to Inanna, the goddess of love and war who wore a garment described in the oldest texts as woven from the light of heaven itself. To weave was to create order from chaos, to take individual threads and bring them into a pattern that was stronger, more beautiful, and more meaningful than any single strand could be alone.
The Utty ring carries that ancient craft in its architecture. A wide band of 18k gold is framed on both sides by smooth polished rails that curve around the finger with quiet confidence. Between those rails, the surface is covered entirely by a precise crosshatch pattern, diagonal lines intersecting at regular intervals across a sand-brushed ground, creating a continuous grid of diamond forms that catches light from every angle. A polished diagonal ribbon sweeps across the band from edge to edge, cutting through the geometry like a single decisive thread pulled taut across the loom.
The result is a ring that is both structured and dynamic, orderly in its grid, interrupted by that single flowing line that reminds you the structure is alive, not fixed. In yellow gold it is warm and luminous, the grid glowing like the surface of woven cloth in afternoon light. In rose gold it is rich and sensuous, the crosshatch pattern intimate and close. In white gold it is cool and architectural, the geometry precise and modern. The two-tone combinations add a second voice — two metals, one pattern, the loom threaded with contrasting light.
Each order includes one ring. Images show available color combinations.
