Made to order in São Paulo. Priced individually.
Dhurgany ring takes its name from Durga — the invincible warrior goddess of Hinduism and the supreme form of Shakti, the divine feminine energy that sustains and protects all creation. Her name means ‘she who is difficult to approach,’ yet she is also one of the most beloved deities in the Hindu world.
She is depicted with eight or ten arms, each holding a different weapon, riding a lion into battle. However, Durga’s power is not simply destructive.
She fights to restore order, not to conquer it. She is celebrated for nine nights during Navaratri — one of the most widely observed festivals in the Hindu calendar.
Because she embodies both fierce strength and protective compassion, she speaks to something that goes beyond a single culture: the idea that real power comes from the willingness to defend what matters.
The Design of the Dhurgany Ring
The Dhurgany ring translates Durga’s energy into a two-tone band of 18k gold.
The design is bold and sculptural. It rises and moves around the finger with a powerful, confident profile — not delicate, not minimal, but fully present. Two tones of gold run through the piece, creating a visual tension that feels alive.
As a result, the ring reads differently from every angle. The warm tone carries the fire of Shakti; the cooler tone carries the clarity of her purpose.
Together, they make the Dhurgany ring something that announces itself quietly but unmistakably.
Power and Protection
The combination of two gold tones is central to this design. Specifically, the interplay of warm and cool mirrors the duality at the heart of Durga’s myth — fierce and nurturing, destructive and protective, warrior and mother.
Worn on the hand, the Dhurgany ring sits with authority. It catches the light in different ways as the hand moves, so the two tones seem to shift and converse.
Furthermore, the sculptural surface rewards close attention: there is more detail here than is immediately obvious, in the way that Durga’s full power is rarely visible all at once.
Therefore, this is a ring for those who understand that real strength does not always announce itself.
Dhurgany Ring in 18k Gold
The Dhurgany ring is crafted as a two-tone combination. In rose gold and white gold, the warm arc carries the depth of Durga’s fire against the cool precision of her focused will.
In yellow gold and white gold, the Dhurgany ring radiates with full golden intensity, the white detail cutting through the warmth like a blade of light.
In either combination, the two metals work together as Durga’s many arms work together — each serving a different function, all part of a single, unified force.
Craftsmanship and 3D Precision
Each Dhurgany ring was developed in 3D modeling software and brought to life through precision 3D printing and meticulous hand-finishing in São Paulo, Brazil
The bold sculptural form demands digital modeling. Every curve must be consistent, the two-tone finish must meet cleanly at its transition point, and the profile must sit comfortably on the finger despite its presence.
Additionally, the two rings of a pair must mirror each other exactly in weight and dimension. Hand-finishing then polishes both tones to a high shine. This is the precision that the Friszman MD process delivers reliably.
A Made-to-Order Piece
Like every Friszman MD creation, the Dhurgany ring is made to order and hand-finished in 18k gold. It is a piece for those who connect with the idea that beauty and power are not opposites.
