Horus Ring

Horus ring takes its name and its symbol from the Eye of Horus — the Wedjat, the most powerful protective emblem in the ancient Egyptian world. Horus was the falcon-headed god of the sky, the living embodiment of divine kingship, and the son of Osiris and Isis.

His conflict with Set — the god of chaos and disorder — is one of the central myths of Egyptian religion. During their battle for the throne of Egypt, Set tore out Horus’s eye. However, the eye was not lost. Thoth, the god of wisdom and healing, restored it to wholeness.

As a result, the healed eye — the Wedjat, meaning ‘the one that is sound again’ — became the symbol of healing, restoration, and divine protection. Furthermore, it was the most widely used amulet in all of ancient Egypt: placed on the bodies of the dead to protect them in the afterlife, painted on the prows of ships, and worn by the living as a talisman against harm.

The Great Sphinx at Giza itself bears the name Hor-em-akhet — Horus on the Horizon. His eye watches still.

The Design of the Horus Ring

The Horus ring translates the Eye of Horus into an 18k gold signet. The band rises to a broad, flat face where the Wedjat is set in relief — the iconic form of the eye, with its falcon’s cheek markings, looking outward from the gold with the same protective authority it carried on amulets and tomb walls for three thousand years.

As a result, the ring reads as both jewellery and talisman: an object that carries meaning as clearly as it carries beauty. Therefore, it is a ring that works whether or not you know its history — and carries more when you do.

The All-Seeing Eye

The eye form on the signet face is the soul of this design. Specifically, the Wedjat’s distinctive combination of a human eye and a falcon’s markings makes it instantly recognizable while remaining visually powerful as a pure geometric form.

Worn on the hand, the Horus ring keeps the eye facing outward — always watching, always present. Furthermore, the flat signet face catches the light cleanly, so the relief of the eye shifts between light and shadow as the hand moves.

In this way, it carries the quality of the original Wedjat amulet: a presence that is felt as much as it is seen.

Horus Ring in 18k Gold

In rose gold the signet glows with warmth, the Eye of Horus reading rich and luminous on the face, like gold inlay in an ancient temple wall. In white gold the Horus ring turns cool and precise, the eye catching light with the clean clarity of polished stone.

In yellow gold it radiates with full golden intensity — the most direct echo of the golden Horus, the sky god whose feathers carried the colour of the sun. Whichever metal you choose, the eye watches.

The signet face demands digital modeling: every element of the Eye of Horus must be placed with accuracy so the symbol reads as the original and not as an approximation, the relief must be deep enough to cast clear shadows, and the band must sit comfortably for daily wear as a unisex ring.

Hand-finishing then polishes the raised surfaces to a high shine while preserving the shadow in the recessed detail. This is the precision that only the Friszman MD process can deliver reliably.
