Dhana Earrings

In Sanskrit, dhana means wealth, but not the kind counted in ledgers. It is the deeper abundance: beauty freely given, grace that cannot be hoarded, the luminous quality of a life lived with intention. It is the name Hindu tradition associates with Lakshmi, goddess of prosperity, whose arrival is announced not by trumpets but by the quiet radiance of a lotus opening in still water.

The Dhana earrings carry that spirit in their form. Two elongated blades in sand-brushed 18k gold rise and descend from a single gemstone held at their center, a diamond blazing white in yellow gold, a ruby burning red in rose gold, a sapphire saturated deep in white gold. The stone does not sit atop the metal, nor hang below it. It is suspended within a precise gap, as if the gold has parted instinctively to receive it, the way a palm opens to receive something of value.
