An oval pendant in 18k gold with raised polished lines, its form inspired by the Norse personal rune — the sacred mark that identified a person in the language of the Viking world.

Made to order.

Description

Ransse Pendant draws its form from the personal rune — the Norse tradition of the individual mark, the specific runic combination that named and identified a person in the sacred writing system of the Germanic and Viking world.

The Elder Futhark, the oldest runic alphabet, consisted of twenty-four characters, each one not merely a letter but a name, a concept, and a force: Fehu was cattle and wealth, Uruz was the aurochs and strength, Tiwaz was the war god Tyr and justice.

As a result, a person’s name written in runes was not merely a spelling but a declaration of the forces that constituted them: a description of what they were made of, in the most precise language available.

Furthermore, the Viking tradition of the personal rune extended this to carving, warriors inscribed their runes on their weapons, traders marked their goods, craftsmen signed their work with their personal runic combination.

The fingerprint is our modern equivalent — the mark that is unique to one person and cannot be forged or transferred. The Ransse Pendant carries that quality: the raised lines on the oval surface as the traces of a personal mark, the form that says this belongs to the person who wears it.

The Design of the Ransse Pendant

The Ransse Pendant translates the personal rune into 18k gold. The pendant is an oval — a closed, self-contained form that reads as complete and grounded. Across the oval surface, raised polished lines describe a mark: lines that are both geometric and organic, carrying the quality of a rune that has been adapted to a specific person rather than taken directly from the alphabet.

As a result, the Ransse Pendant reads as both ancient talisman and contemporary identity piece: the sacred mark in a wearable form.

The Mark That Names You

The raised lines on the oval surface are the soul of this design. Specifically, the lines catch the light on their polished raised edges while the oval surface around them holds its own reflectiveness, creating a surface of depth and differentiation.

Worn close to the body, the Ransse Pendant carries its mark against the skin with the quiet authority of a seal carried by someone who knows what it means.

Furthermore, the organic quality of the lines — their particular pattern as distinct from any standard rune in the alphabet — gives the pendant the quality of something personal: the mark that belongs specifically to whoever wears it.

In this way, the Ransse Pendant carries the Viking understanding of identity: not a category but a name, not a type but a specific person.

Ransse Pendant in 18k Gold

In rose gold the oval and its raised lines glow with warmth, the mark reading vivid and personal against the warm surface. In white gold the Ransse Pendant turns cool and precise, the raised lines catching light with the clarity of incised stone.

In yellow gold it radiates with full golden intensity — the most direct echo of the Viking goldsmiths who carved runes in gold and understood that the most precious material gave the mark its fullest authority.

Whichever metal you choose, the mark holds its meaning.

Craftsmanship and 3D Precision

Each Ransse Pendant was developed in 3D modeling software and brought to life through precision 3D printing and meticulous hand-finishing.

The raised-line oval demands digital modeling: every line must be raised to a consistent height above the oval surface so the mark reads as deliberately inscribed, the overall form must hang at the correct angle, and the pendant must carry its visual quality at all scales.

Hand-finishing polishes the raised lines to a high shine while the oval surface holds its own finish. This is the precision that only the Friszman MD process can deliver reliably.

A Made-to-Order Piece
