Aurhiael Earrings
$0.01
A column of sand-brushed 18k gold set with polished convex ovals that emerge in pairs, each one a lens gathering light and holding it still. Named for a being of celestial light in the angelic tradition, Aurhiael earrings stand between the wearer and the world with the quiet authority of a guardian.
Made to order in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Aurhiael earrings take their name from Auriel — known more widely as Uriel, the archangel whose name means “God is my light” and “the fire of God.” In Hebrew angelology and the Kabbalah he is the angel of wisdom and illumination, counted among the four who stand around the divine throne and named the bearer of the most perfect light. The Zohar describes him shedding light over the world; later tradition made him the angel who brings understanding into darkness and clarity into confusion, often shown carrying a scroll of sacred knowledge. There is something quietly powerful in Aurhiael’s myth: the idea that light is not only seen but understood — that radiance and wisdom are, in the end, the same gift.
The Design of the Aurhiael Earrings
The Aurhiael earrings translate that idea directly into form. Each piece is a slender vertical column of 18k gold — tall, composed, and architectural — its surface worked with fine striations that run the length of the metal like rays of captured light. Where the column meets the light it seems to glow from within; where it turns away it falls into quiet shadow, so the earrings move between brilliance and stillness as the wearer turns. The form is restrained and almost monastic, but the surface is alive — a beam of light held upright and made permanent in gold. It is a design that says a great deal with very little, which is its own kind of confidence.
Light and Wisdom
The contrast between the disciplined vertical form and the luminous, textured surface is the soul of this design — structure carrying radiance, stillness holding light. Worn as drops, the Aurhiael earrings hang like two slender shafts of illumination against the neck, their striations catching and releasing the light with every turn of the head. No two angles read quite the same way: the surface gathers light differently as it moves, so the earrings seem to flicker softly, like a flame that never fully settles. They are elegant without being ornate, present without being loud — the very paradox of Auriel himself, the angel who is everywhere light and nowhere fixed.
Aurhiael Earrings in 18k Gold
In rose gold the striations glow with warmth, the light reading soft and intimate like candlelight. In white gold the Aurhiael earrings shimmer with cool brilliance, each fine line catching the light like dawn breaking over water. In yellow gold they radiate full luminous intensity — the most direct echo of the “fire of God” that gave Auriel, and this piece, its name. Whichever metal you choose, the design holds its character: upright, radiant, and quietly alive with light.
Craftsmanship and 3D Precision
Each Aurhiael earring was developed in 3D modeling software and brought to life through precision 3D printing and meticulous hand-finishing in São Paulo, Brazil. The fine striations demand digital modeling: every line must be cut with consistent depth and spacing so the surface reads as continuous light, and the two earrings of a pair must mirror one another exactly. Hand-finishing then polishes the raised edges to a high shine while leaving the recesses in shadow, creating the play of light that defines the piece. This is the kind of precision that only the Friszman MD process can deliver reliably.
A Made-to-Order Piece
Like every Friszman MD creation, the Aurhiael earrings are made to order and hand-finished in 18k gold, conceived where mythology, sacred tradition, and geometry meet.
