Aurelys Earrings

$0.01

Bold oval forms in 18k gold, pierced with openwork that lets light and air pass through the metal. The Aurelys earrings are named for Aura, the Titan goddess of the breeze — structure and movement held in a single piece.

Made to order in São Paulo and hand-finished in rose, white, or yellow gold.

Description

Aurelys earrings take their name from Aura — the Titan goddess of the breeze and the cool, fresh air of early morning. In Greek mythology she was the daughter of the Titan Lelantos, a swift virgin huntress and a companion of Artemis, so fleet of foot that the poets called her the Windmaid, able to keep pace with the highland winds themselves. When her story reached its end, Zeus transformed her into flowing water and moving air — motion made permanent, presence without weight. There is something quietly profound in Aura’s myth: the idea that the most essential things are often invisible, felt rather than seen, alive in the spaces between solid forms.

The Design of the Aurelys Earrings

The Aurelys earrings translate that idea directly into gold. Each piece is a bold oval form — clean, geometric, and confident — pierced throughout with an openwork pattern that lets light and air pass straight through the metal. Where most jewelry asks gold to be solid and heavy, the Aurelys earrings ask it to breathe. The perforations are not random: they follow a deliberate geometry, a lattice that reads as both structure and movement in the same moment, like the path of a breeze made visible in precious metal. The effect is a piece that feels substantial in the hand and yet weightless against the skin — exactly the kind of quiet contradiction that rewards a second, closer look.

Form and Air

The contrast between the bold oval silhouette and the delicate piercing is the soul of this design — solidity holding space, form framing absence. Worn against the neck, the openwork catches and releases light as the wearer moves, so the earrings seem to shift and breathe with every turn of the head. No two angles read quite the same way: the perforations layer over one another, revealing and concealing the light and skin behind them, so the piece is never entirely still. The Aurelys earrings are bold without being loud, present without being heavy — the very paradox that Aura herself embodied, the goddess who was everywhere felt and nowhere fixed.

Aurelys Earrings in 18k Gold

In rose gold the openwork glows with warmth, the pierced lattice reading like sunlight filtering through morning haze. In white gold the Aurelys earrings shimmer with cool precision, each perforation catching the light like air moving over water at dawn. In yellow gold they radiate full luminous intensity — the most direct echo of the golden first light that Aura, goddess of the early morning, was born to carry across the waking world. Whichever metal you choose, the design holds its character: structured, airy, and alive with light.

Craftsmanship and 3D Precision

Each Aurelys earring was developed in 3D parametric modeling software and brought to life through precision 3D printing and meticulous hand-finishing in São Paulo, Brazil. The perforated geometry demands digital modeling: every opening must be placed with mathematical consistency, the lattice must remain structurally sound while feeling effortless, and the two earrings of a pair must mirror one another exactly. Hand-finishing then brings warmth to the precision, softening edges and polishing surfaces until the metal seems to carry its own light. This is the kind of complexity that only the Friszman MD process can deliver reliably.

A Made-to-Order Piece

Like every Friszman MD creation, the Aurelys earrings are made to order and hand-finished in 18k gold, conceived where mythology, archaeology, and sacred geometry meet.
