Horus Ring
$0.01
A wide polished 18k gold signet ring bearing the Eye of Horus engraved in relief on a matte oval face, one of the most powerful protective symbols in human history, worn as a ring by those who carry its meaning close.
Horus was born of miraculous circumstances, conceived by Isis from the body of her murdered husband Osiris, hidden in the marshes of the Nile Delta, protected from the violence of Set who had killed his father and would have destroyed the child. He grew to reclaim his father’s throne, and in the great battle against Set, lost his eye, only for it to be restored by the god Thoth. That restored eye, the Wedjat, became one of the most potent symbols in all of Egyptian civilization: a symbol of protection, of royal power, of the capacity to see what others cannot.
The Eye of Horus has been worn as an amulet for over five thousand years. It appeared on the walls of temples, on the prows of boats, on the wrappings of mummies, and on the fingers of pharaohs. To wear it was to claim its protection, to align oneself with the forces of order against the forces of chaos.
The Horus ring brings that ancient intention into a contemporary form. A wide, polished band of 18k gold, confident in its weight and presence, carries on its upper face an oval matte platform on which the Eye of Horus is engraved in precise, clean relief. The contrast between the high-polish band and the sand-brushed oval face creates a visual depth that makes the symbol appear to float above the surface of the ring.
No gemstones. No additional ornamentation. The Eye is sufficient. In rose gold the warmth of the metal gives the symbol an intimate, almost personal quality. In white gold the cool clarity of the finish makes the engraving feel precise and timeless. In yellow gold the full richness of the metal honors five millennia of Egyptian craftsmanship.
Each Horus ring is individually designed using 3D software and hand-finished in São Paulo, Brazil. Made entirely to order.
