The concept at the heart of this design is periodicity, the property that makes orbits predictable, measurable, and mathematically beautiful. When a natural satellite completes an orbit, it does not travel in a perfect circle but traces an elliptical path, and it does so at varying speeds, pulling closer and swinging further from its host body in a rhythm governed by gravity and mass. The Skigsreen Earrings capture this rhythm through a series of oval forms stacked along a central axis, each rotated by a fixed degree from the one above and below it, so that the column as a whole completes a full revolution from top to bottom. Each individual disc in the column reads as a snapshot, a single orbital position of a moon at a specific moment.
