Surya Pendant takes its name from Surya — the Vedic and Hindu solar deity, the radiant sun god who drives his chariot pulled by seven golden horses across the sky each day, his light the source of all life on earth.

Surya is one of the most ancient of the Vedic deities, invoked in the Rigveda as the one who sees all, who travels the sky without rest, whose rays carry the warmth and light that make the earth fertile. As a result, Surya is not merely a god of the physical sun but the solar principle itself: the quality of illumination that makes things visible, the warmth that makes things grow, the daily rhythm that organizes human life around the movement of light across the sky.

Furthermore, the sun as a sacred presence is one of the most universal ideas in human religious history. In Aztec tradition, Tonatiuh was the sun god whose daily journey required the offering of blood to sustain his strength; in Inca tradition,

Inti was the supreme deity, his golden disc the centerpiece of the Coricancha temple in Cuzco, the most sacred building in the Andean world. All three traditions found in the sun the same quality: the source of life, the measure of time, the presence that makes everything else possible.

The Surya Pendant carries the sun across all three: the radiant disc as the universal form of solar power.

The Design of the Surya Pendant

The Surya Pendant translates the radiant sun into 18k gold. The pendant is a solar disc — a circular form that radiates outward from a central gemstone, its rays or concentric arcs describing the sun’s light moving in every direction at once.

At the centre, a diamond, ruby, or sapphire is set: the concentrated solar point from which all the pendant’s radiance originates. As a result, the Surya Pendant reads as both jewellery and solar talisman: the disc of Surya, of Tonatiuh, of Inti — the sun god’s own form carried close to the body.

The Solar Disc

The radiant disc with its central gemstone is the soul of this design. Specifically, the rays or arcs radiating from the centre create a surface of directed energy — the light of the sun described in gold as movement outward from a single source.

Worn close to the body, the Surya Pendant carries the warmth of the sun’s disc against the skin. Furthermore, the gemstone at the solar centre catches the light with the intensity of a concentrated flame: a point of deep color or brilliant clarity held at the origin of all the pendant’s radiance.

In this way, the Surya Pendant carries the quality that every solar tradition has found in the sun: the life-giving presence at the centre, the warmth that makes everything else possible.

Surya Pendant in 18k Gold and Colored Gemstones

In rose gold the solar disc glows with warmth, set with a ruby that burns at the centre like the sun at its most vivid — the concentrated heat of Surya’s chariot at noon. In white gold the Surya Pendant turns cool and radiant, a sapphire reading at the solar centre with the deep blue of the sky through which the sun travels.

In yellow gold it radiates with full golden intensity, a brilliant diamond at the centre — the clearest possible expression of the solar principle in the most solar of all materials. Whichever stone you choose, the disc holds its radiance.

Craftsmanship and 3D Precision

Each Surya Pendant was developed in 3D modeling software and brought to life through precision 3D printing and meticulous hand-finishing. The radiant solar disc demands digital modeling: every ray or arc must radiate from the centre with perfect symmetry so the pendant reads as a true solar disc, the gemstone setting must hold the stone at exactly the focal point, and the pendant must hang true so the disc presents facing outward. Hand-finishing polishes every surface to a high shine.

This is the precision that only the Friszman MD process can deliver reliably.
