Haleeny Earrings

Twisted helical column earrings in 18k gold, their spiral form inspired by the Solomonic column — the sacred twisted column of Solomon’s Temple that Bernini made famous in the Vatican. The Haleeny earrings carry three thousand years of sacred architecture in a wearable form.
Made to order in rose, white, or yellow gold.
Haleeny earrings draw their form from the Solomonic column — the twisted, helical column whose spiral shaft has carried sacred meaning across three thousand years of architecture and art. The Solomonic column takes its name from the Temple of Solomon in Jerusalem, Israel.
In early Christian tradition, the twisted columns in the original basilica of St. Peter’s in Rome were believed to have come directly from Solomon’s Temple. As a result, the spiral column became associated with the gates of Paradise, with the sacred space between the earth and the divine.
When Gian Lorenzo Bernini built the great baldachin over the Apostle’s tomb in the Vatican in 1633, he chose the Solomonic column — four enormous twisted bronze spirals rising above the altar. Because of this, the twisted column carries an extraordinary weight of sacred meaning: it connects Solomon’s Jerusalem to Bernini’s Rome, the Old Testament to the Baroque, the ancient world to the modern.
Furthermore, the spiral form itself is among the most fundamental shapes in nature: DNA, shells, galaxies, the growth of living things — all follow the helix.
The Design of the Haleeny Earrings
The Haleeny earrings translate the Solomonic column into 18k gold. Each piece is a twisted helical column that descends from the ear in a continuous spiral — the ancient form of the sacred column made wearable.
The twist winds evenly from the top to the base of the earring, so the gold seems to be in motion even when it is still. As a result, the Haleeny earrings read as both architectural and alive: the precision of a column combined with the organic energy of a helix. Therefore, they carry the quality of the Solomonic column itself — the sacred and the beautiful held in a single spiraling form.
The Sacred Spiral
The helix is the soul of this design. Specifically, the twist creates a visual rhythm that draws the eye along the length of the earring from top to base, the way the spiral of a column draws the eye upward along its shaft.
Worn against the neck, the Haleeny earrings catch and release the light as they turn, so the gold seems to shift and breathe with every movement. Furthermore, the spiral form reads differently from every angle: straight-on it appears as a column, from the side it reveals the continuous twist.
In this way, the earrings carry something of the Solomonic column’s essential quality: a form that rewards looking at from multiple directions.
Haleeny Earrings in 18k Gold
In rose gold the twisted column glows with warmth, the spiral reading rich and ancient, like bronze turned by time. In white gold the Haleeny earrings turn cool and precise, the helix catching light with clean architectural clarity.
In yellow gold they radiate with full golden intensity — the most direct echo of the golden column, the sacred form that has connected earth to heaven across every tradition that has known it. Whichever metal you choose, the spiral holds its energy.
Craftsmanship and 3D Precision
Each Haleeny earring was developed in 3D modeling software and brought to life through precision 3D printing and meticulous hand-finishing. The helical column demands digital modeling: the pitch of the spiral must be perfectly consistent from base to crown so the twist reads as a single continuous gesture, and the two earrings of a pair must mirror each other exactly.
Additionally, the proportions must remain comfortable for daily wear despite the column’s visual presence. Hand-finishing then polishes the gold to a high shine along every surface of the twist. This is the precision that only the Friszman MD process can deliver reliably.
A Made-to-Order Piece
Like every Friszman MD creation, the Haleeny earrings are made to order and hand-finished in 18k gold.
