Gold ring Enceladus is a celebration of cosmic beauty, a piece born from one of the most extraordinary discoveries in our solar system and one of the oldest battles in Greek mythology. Enceladus is the name of Saturn’s sixth largest moon, a world of ice and hidden oceans where geysers of water vapor erupt from the southern pole into space, a frozen body alive with something that science is still learning to name. It is also the name of one of the great Giants of Greek mythology, a titan of immense power who fought against the gods in the Gigantomachy and was buried beneath Mount Etna by Athena, his breathing the origin of the volcano’s fire. Two stories, one name: ice and fire, cosmos and earth, the celestial and the geological. This gold ring holds that tension in 18k gold.

Born from the frozen moons of Saturn, Enceladus captures the eternal tension between strength and grace. A bold sculptural band parts like a cosmic current, the gold dividing and opening at the crest of the ring to cradle a brilliant diamond at its center. The opening in the band is not a weakness in the design. It is the design. The diamond at the center mirrors the light of whichever gold it rests upon, warm yellow, passionate rose, or pristine white. In Yellow Gold, the diamond sits like a star caught in amber, the warmth of the metal amplifying every facet. In Rose Gold, the combination is passionate and alive, the stone now reading against a ground of warmth rather than neutrality. The Enceladus gold ring was developed in 3D modeling software and brought to life through precision 3D printing and meticulous hand-finishing in São Paulo, Brazil. The parting of the band — the central gesture of the design, required careful engineering. The two sides of the band must separate at exactly the right point, widen at exactly the right rate, and frame the diamond at exactly the right height. Too wide and the stone is lost. Too narrow and the tension disappears. The balance is everything, and the Friszman MD process exists to find it and hold it across every piece produced.
