Asteria ring in 18k gold — a wide sand-brushed band with polished star forms rising all the way around, named for the Greek Titaness of falling stars. Available in yellow gold, rose gold, white gold, and three two-tone combinations. Made to order in São Paulo, Brazil.
Asteria ring is named for one of the most luminous figures in Greek mythology — and one of the least remembered. Asteria was a Titaness, daughter of the Titans Coeus and Phoebe, sister of Leto, and mother of Hecate. Her name means simply “the starry one,” and in the ancient sources she was associated with falling stars, nocturnal oracles, and the light that moves through the night sky in streaks of brilliance before disappearing. She was not a goddess of the fixed stars — those belonged to others. Asteria was the goddess of the stars in motion: the ones that cross the sky and vanish, the ones that make you catch your breath and reach for a wish before they are gone.
The Myth Behind the Asteria Ring
When Zeus pursued her, Asteria transformed herself into a quail and leapt into the sea rather than yield to him — becoming the floating island of Delos, the birthplace of Apollo and Artemis, the most sacred island in the Greek world. Her act of transformation was an act of absolute sovereignty: she chose her own form, her own fate, her own disappearance into something greater than herself. It is a myth about the refusal to be possessed — about a figure who chose to become a place rather than become a possession.
The Design of the Asteria Ring
The Asteria ring carries the energy of that transformation across the band. A wide band of sand-brushed 18k gold wraps the hand in a continuous constellation — polished star forms rise from the matte surface all the way around, each one catching light differently depending on the angle, the movement, the moment. The stars are not decorative. They are structural, each one emerging fully from the body of the band as if pushing through from inside, the way real stars push through darkness.
Asteria Ring in 18k Gold
In yellow gold, the Asteria ring is warm and ancient — the stars glowing like embers. In rose gold, it is tender and alive, the constellation intimate and close. In white gold, it is cool and celestial, the stars sharp against a winter sky.
The two-tone versions add depth and contrast — yellow with rose, yellow with white, white with rose — two skies layered together, each making the other more brilliant. Each order includes one ring; images show available colour combinations.
Craftsmanship and 3D Precision
The Asteria ring was developed in 3D modeling software and brought to life through precision 3D printing and meticulous hand-finishing in São Paulo, Brazil. The polished star forms rising from the sand-brushed surface across the full circumference of the band require precise digital modeling — each star must sit at the same height, their polished faces consistent, the transition between matte ground and polished form holding its quality from every angle. Every piece is finished by hand to the same standard.
