Yggdrasil Earrings

Triangular drop earrings in 18k gold, each holding a gemstone at their heart. The Yggdrasil Earrings are named for the World Tree that stands at the centre of Norse cosmology, its branches and roots connecting the nine realms.
Made to order.
Yggdrasil Earrings take their name from Yggdrasil — the great ash tree at the centre of Norse cosmology, the cosmic axis around which all nine realms are organized.
Yggdrasil’s roots drink from three sacred wells: the well of Urd, from which the Norns draw water to maintain the tree; the well of Mimir, which contains all wisdom and where Odin sacrificed his eye for a single drink; and Hvergelmir, from which all rivers flow.
As a result, Yggdrasil is both the structure of the cosmos and its nutrition — the tree that holds the worlds together and the tree that is sustained by the most sacred sources. Furthermore, in the nine realms that Yggdrasil connects — Asgard of the gods, Midgard of humans, Jotunheim of the giants, Alfheim of the light elves, Svartalfheim of the dark elves, Niflheim of ice and mist, Muspelheim of fire, Vanaheim of the Vanir gods, and Helheim of the dead — every form of existence is represented.
The tree that holds them is not a passive structure but an active cosmic participant: the eagle and the serpent fight at its extremities, the squirrel Ratatoskr carries messages between them, and the three Norns — Urd, Verdandi, and Skuld — weave fate at its roots.
The Yggdrasil Earrings carry the triangle of the tree: the form whose three points describe the three wells, the three Norns, and the three roots, with a gemstone at the centre as the axis of the cosmic tree itself.
The Design of the Yggdrasil Earrings
The Yggdrasil Earrings translate the cosmic tree’s triangular geometry into 18k gold. Each piece is a triangular drop whose three points carry the quality of the World Tree’s three aspects: three roots, three wells, three Norns, the three-fold structure of the Norse cosmic order.
At the centre of the triangle, a gemstone is set: a diamond, ruby, or sapphire that reads as Yggdrasil’s axis, the concentrated point of cosmic connection at the tree’s heart.
As a result, the Yggdrasil Earrings carry both the geometric clarity of the triangle and the cosmic weight of what it represents.
The Three Roots and Three Wells
The triangular form with its central gemstone is the soul of this design. Specifically, the triangle creates a visual completeness that mirrors the three-fold structure of Norse cosmology: the three roots, the three wells, the three Norns.
Worn as drops, the Yggdrasil Earrings descend from the ear with the composed authority of a form that holds the nine realms in its three angles. Furthermore, the gemstone at the centre catches the light with the intensity of the cosmic axis — the point from which all realms radiate, the heart of the World Tree.
In this way, the Yggdrasil Earrings carry the quality of Yggdrasil itself: the form that holds everything in its structure.
Yggdrasil Earrings in 18k Gold and Colored Gemstones
In rose gold the triangular drops glow with warmth, each set with a ruby that burns at the centre like the fire of Muspelheim at the tree’s roots. In white gold the Yggdrasil Earrings turn cool and cosmic, sapphires reading at the centre with the deep blue of the well of Mimir.
In yellow gold they radiate with full golden intensity, brilliant diamonds at the heart of the triangles — the light of Asgard at the branches of the World Tree. Whichever stone you choose, the triangle holds its realms.
Craftsmanship and 3D Precision
Each Yggdrasil earring was developed in 3D modeling software and brought to life through precision 3D printing and meticulous hand-finishing. The triangular drop demands digital modeling: every angle must be precisely equal so the triangle reads as geometrically resolved, the gemstone setting must hold the stone at exactly the visual centre, and the two earrings of a pair must mirror each other exactly. Hand-finishing polishes every surface to a high shine.
This is the precision that only the Friszman MD process can deliver reliably.
