Theya Earrings

Theya Earrings take their name from Theia — the Greek Titaness of sight and the shining quality of precious things, the deity who gives gold its particular glow, silver its distinctive shimmer, and gemstones their capacity to catch and hold the light.

Theia’s name means divine or shining, and her domain is the quality of luminosity itself: not light as a physical phenomenon but light as a quality of value, the brightness that makes precious things recognizable as precious.

As a result, Theia is the reason that gold looks like gold — not merely a yellow metal but a warm, living brightness that has drawn human attention for as long as humans have existed.

Furthermore, Theia is the mother of the three great light-bringers of the Greek cosmos: Helios the sun, Selene the moon, and Eos the dawn. In giving birth to the three children who govern the day in its three phases, Theia became the source of all the light by which the human world is ordered.

The polished lattice interior is the soul of this design. Specifically, the grid of the lattice creates a surface of multiple light angles — each lattice element catching the light at its own position, so the face of the earring seems to pulse with its own internal brightness.

Worn as studs, the Theya Earrings present the luminous lattice face forward with the composed authority of a form that carries light within its structure.

The polished lattice demands digital modeling: every element of the grid must be placed at a consistent size and spacing so the pattern reads as deliberate across the entire stud face, and the two earrings of a pair must mirror each other exactly. Hand-finishing polishes every lattice surface to a mirror shine.
