Nyamh Pendant

In Irish mythology, Niamh, whose name means “bright”, was the daughter of Manannán mac Lir, god of the sea, and one of the queens of Tír-na-nÓg, the land of eternal youth. She arrived on a white horse across the waves, golden-haired and luminous, and carried the poet-hero Oisín away with her to a realm where time moved differently and beauty never faded. Her story is one of the most haunting in all of Celtic mythology, a love so complete it existed outside ordinary time, and a return to the mortal world that proved irreversible.

The Nyamh pendant translates that radiant certainty into pure geometry. A bold downward-pointing triangle of polished 18k gold descends with absolute confidence, no texture, no ornamentation, nothing to distract from the clarity of the form, save for a single oval gemstone bezel-set in the upper portion, positioned like a third eye, like a star fixed in the sky.

In rose gold the ruby burns deep and warm against the polished surface, intimate and alive. In white gold the sapphire sits cool and sovereign, as still as a winter sea. In yellow gold the diamond catches every available light and returns it transformed, brilliant and unconditional.

The triangle is one of the oldest symbols in human geometry, stability, direction, the convergence of forces toward a single inevitable point. Worn pointing downward it suggests descent into the depths, into the unconscious, into the ocean realms that Niamh’s father governed.
