Fheetysh Earrings
$0.01
Cylindrical column earrings in 18k gold, their surface wound with a continuous helix inspired by the caduceus of Hermes. The Fheetysh earrings translate the double spiral of the messenger’s sacred staff into gold — two forces made into one form.
Made to order in São Paulo, Brazil in rose, white, or yellow gold.
Fheetysh earrings take their inspiration from the caduceus — the sacred staff of Hermes, the messenger of the Greek gods. The caduceus is one of the most recognizable symbols in the ancient world. It consists of a winged staff with two serpents wound around it in a double helix, their bodies intertwining as they rise from the base to the top.
As a symbol, it carried enormous power. Hermes used it to put gods to sleep and to wake them again. He used it to guide souls between the worlds of the living and the dead. Because of this, the caduceus was understood as a tool that could cross every boundary: between sleep and waking, between life and death, between one world and the next.
Furthermore, the two serpents represent opposing forces held in perfect balance — not fighting each other, but coiling together into a single, unified form. The Fheetysh earrings are named for that idea: two spirals making one shape.
The Design of the Fheetysh Earrings
The Fheetysh earrings translate the caduceus into 18k gold. Each piece is a cylindrical column whose surface is wound with a continuous helix — a spiral that rises from the base of the earring to its crown in a single unbroken line.
The cylinder gives the earring its structure and its presence. The helix gives it its life. As a result, the Fheetysh earrings read as both architectural and organic, like the caduceus itself: the straight staff of authority, made alive by the coiling of the serpents.
Therefore, the earrings hold both qualities at once, in the same way the caduceus does.
The Helix and the Column
The contrast between the rigid cylinder and the flowing spiral is the soul of this design. Specifically, the helix catches the light differently at every point as it turns around the column, so the earring seems to shift and move even when it is still.
Worn the Fheetysh earrings hang with a quiet vertical authority. Furthermore, the spiral creates a visual rhythm that draws the eye upward and downward along its length.
No two angles read the same, because the helix always presents a different face. In this way, they carry the quality of the caduceus: something that works at every level simultaneously.
Fheetysh Earrings in 18k Gold
In rose gold the helix glows with warmth, the spiral reading rich and alive as it winds around the column. In white gold the Fheetysh earrings turn cool and precise, the helix catching light with clean brilliance along its entire length. In yellow gold they radiate with full golden intensity — the most direct echo of the divine messenger himself, moving between the worlds with a staff that shines.
Whichever metal you choose, the spiral holds its form and the light follows it.
Craftsmanship and 3D Precision
Each Fheetysh earring was developed in 3D modeling software and brought to life through precision 3D printing and meticulous hand-finishing in São Paulo, Brazil. The helical cylinder demands digital modeling above all.
The pitch of the spiral must be perfectly consistent so it reads as a single continuous gesture rather than a series of separate rings. Additionally, the cylinder must be proportioned so the earring hangs true and feels comfortable.
The two earrings of a pair must mirror each other exactly in pitch and dimension. Hand-finishing then polishes the gold to a high shine along every surface.
This is the precision that only the Friszman MD process can deliver reliably.
