Theya Earrings

Before the sun existed, there was Theia. Before the moon cast its first reflection on water, before the dawn broke open the darkness of the first morning, there was Theia, and it was from her that all of that light came.

In Greek mythology, Theia was one of the twelve Titans, daughter of Uranus and Gaia, born in the age before the gods of Olympus existed. Her name means simply “divine”, and yet that single word contained everything. She was the goddess of sight, the primordial force behind the shining light of the clear blue sky, and she held within her a quality that no other deity possessed: the power to make things gleam. To make them luminous. To give precious metals and gemstones the inner light that makes them impossible to ignore.

It was Theia who gave gold its brilliance. It was Theia who gave silver its cool, silver radiance. It was Theia who looked at the world and decided that beauty deserved to be seen, and then made certain that it could be.

She became the mother of Helios, the Sun, of Selene, the Moon, and of Eos, the Dawn. Three children, three different kinds of light, each one a different expression of the same luminous inheritance their mother passed to them. The ancient Greeks understood that light was not one thing, it was gold at midday, silver at midnight, rose and amber at the edges of the day. Theia understood all of it because she was the source of all of it.

The Theya earrings translate that inheritance into form. An elongated curved body in 18k gold, architectural and precise, frames a central elliptical opening filled with a fine diagonal lattice, a grid of polished lines that catches light at every angle and holds it differently depending on how the wearer moves. The outer edge is clean and mirror-polished, defining the silhouette with quiet authority. The interior is alive with reflected light, fractured and multiplied by the geometry of the grid until the earring seems to generate its own luminosity from within.

This is intentional. Theia did not reflect light, she produced it. These Theya Earrings behave the same way.

The design works equally in all three gold tones. In yellow gold, the Theya earrings are warm and solar, a direct echo of Helios. In white gold, they are cool and lunar, carrying the light of Selene. In rose gold, they soften into the colors of Eos at dawn — the first light, the most tender light, the one that arrives before the world is fully awake.

Long enough to be noticed, precise enough to be elegant, substantial enough to be worn as the only piece you need.

Each Theya earring is individually designed using 3D software and hand-finished in São Paulo, Brazil. Post fastening. Made entirely to order, available in 18k yellow gold, 18k white gold, and 18k rose gold.
