Sathy Ring
$0.01
A full-circle gemstone eternity band in 18k gold, set all around with diamonds, rubies, or sapphires. The Sathy Ring is named for Sati, the Hindu goddess of sacred devotion whose love was so complete it encircled without interruption.
Made to order.
Sathy Ring takes its name from Sati — the goddess of sacred devotion in the Hindu tradition, the first wife of Shiva, and one of the most profound figures in the mythology of divine love. Sati was the daughter of Daksha, the primordial patriarch, and she chose Shiva as her husband against her father’s wishes — because she recognized in Shiva the quality of ultimate reality, even in the form that Daksha found disgraceful.
As a result, Sati’s love was not the love of approval or comfort but the love of recognition: the devotion that sees through surface to essence and gives itself completely. Furthermore, when Daksha organized a great yajna — a sacred fire ceremony — and deliberately excluded Shiva from the invitation, Sati attended despite her husband’s warning.
Unable to bear the insult to the one she recognized as the highest, she immolated herself in the sacred fire. Her death caused Shiva’s absolute grief, from which he would have destroyed the cosmos had Vishnu not intervened.
The Sathy Ring carries the form of that love: the full-circle eternity band, set with gemstones all the way around without interruption, as the visual form of a devotion that does not leave gaps, does not hold anything back, does not know where it stops.
The Design of the Sathy Ring
The Sathy Ring translates the completeness of sacred devotion into 18k gold. The band is set all the way around with gemstones — diamonds, rubies, or sapphires held in a continuous line that encircles the finger without break.
The matte-brushed gold of the band provides a subdued ground for the gemstones to read against, so the stones are always present and always vivid. As a result, the Sathy Ring reads as a ring of uninterrupted presence: no gap in the circle, no point where the commitment stops.
The Unbroken Circle
The full-circle gemstone setting is the soul of this design. Specifically, the continuous line of stones around the band creates a visual rhythm that has no beginning and no end — a circle that reads as absolute rather than composed.
Worn on the finger, the Sathy Ring carries its gemstones in every direction at once, the stones always visible from above, from the side, from any angle of view. Furthermore, the contrast between the matte brushed gold band and the vivid faceted stones creates a surface of quiet intensity: the gold as the devoted ground, the stones as the quality of presence that devotion produces.
In this way, the Sathy Ring carries Sati’s essential quality: the love that leaves no angle uncovered, no gap in the circle of recognition.
Sathy Ring in 18k Gold and Colored Gemstones
In rose gold the matte band holds rubies all around — the red of sacred fire, of the yajna, of the love that did not step back. In white gold the Sathy Ring carries sapphires in a continuous circle, the blue of devotion at its clearest, the depth that has no end.
In yellow gold it radiates with full golden intensity, brilliant diamonds set all around — the clearest, most vivid expression of the circle that holds without interruption. Whichever stone you choose, the circle is complete.
Craftsmanship and 3D Precision
Each Sathy Ring was developed in 3D modeling software and brought to life through precision 3D printing and meticulous hand-finishing. The full-circle setting demands digital modeling: every stone must be placed at a consistent depth and spacing so the continuous line reads as even all the way around, the matte band beneath must be proportioned correctly to carry the stones without the ring feeling heavy, and the ring must be available in precise sizes.
Hand-finishing creates the brushed matte surface while polishing the stone settings to a high shine. This is the precision that only the Friszman MD process can deliver reliably.
