Juno Earrings
$0.01
Crescent and dome earrings in 18k gold, their lunar forms inspired by Juno Lucina — the Roman queen of the gods in her aspect as goddess of moonlight and new beginnings. The Juno earrings describe the phases of the moon in gold: the crescent of beginning, the dome of fullness.
Made to order in rose, white, or yellow gold.
Juno earrings take their name from Juno — the queen of the Roman gods, wife of Jupiter, and one of the most powerful presences in the ancient world. Juno was the protector of the Roman state, the goddess of marriage and of women, and the great advocate for her people.
The month of June carries her name. However, it is her lunar aspect that gives the Juno earrings their form. In her identity as Juno Lucina — Juno of the Light — she was the goddess who presided over the moment of birth, who brought children from darkness into light, whose crescent moved across the sky marking the turning of each month.
As a result, the crescent became her sign: the curved horn of the new moon, the shape of a beginning.
Furthermore, the crescent and the dome together describe the two faces of the moon — the new and the full, the promise and the completion, the arc of light that grows from sliver to circle and begins again.
The Design of the Juno Earrings
The Juno earrings translate those lunar forms into 18k gold. Each piece combines a crescent curve with a dome accent — the two shapes working together to describe the phases of the moon in miniature. The crescent descends from the ear in a clean arc; the dome adds its rounded presence below or beside it, so the earring reads as both part of a larger cycle and complete in itself.
As a result, the Juno earrings carry a visual rhythm that feels like a natural law: the same pattern that has governed the sky for as long as there have been eyes to watch it.
Therefore, they are earrings built on the oldest clock in the world.
The Crescent and the Dome
The pairing of the curved crescent and the rounded dome is the soul of this design. Specifically, the crescent is the beginning — the first sliver of light after darkness. The dome is the fullness — the moon at its peak, round and complete. Together, they describe the whole cycle in a single pair of earrings.
Worn against the neck, the Juno earrings move with the wearer, the curves catching and releasing the light as the head turns. Furthermore, no two angles read the same: the arc of the crescent presents differently from the front, the side, and below. In this way, they carry Juno’s own quality — the presence of someone who has learned to be seen from every direction.
Juno Earrings in 18k Gold
In rose gold the crescent and dome glow with warmth, the curves reading soft and intimate, like moon rise seen through a warm evening sky. In white gold the Juno earrings turn cool and luminous, the forms catching light with the precision of polished stone in moonlight.
In yellow gold they radiate with full golden intensity — the most direct echo of Juno Lucina herself, the goddess who brought light into dark places and was worshiped at the moment the moon first reappeared. Whichever metal you choose, the lunar forms hold their quiet authority.
Craftsmanship and 3D Precision
Each Juno earring was developed in 3D modeling software and brought to life through precision 3D printing and meticulous hand-finishing. The crescent and dome forms demand digital modeling: the arc of the crescent must be perfectly consistent, the dome must sit in correct proportion relative to the curve, and the two earrings of a pair must mirror each other exactly so the forms balance on both sides of the face.
Hand-finishing then polishes every curve to a high shine that makes the gold seem to hold its own light. This is the precision that only the Friszman MD process can deliver reliably.
