Trishyan Earrings

Twisted cage drop earrings in 18k gold, their interlaced form inspired by Tyche — the Greek goddess of fortune who turns the wheel of fate with the same impartiality that chance itself has always turned it.
Made to order.
Trishyan Earrings take their name and form from Tyche — the Greek goddess of fortune, chance, and the unexpected. Tyche was one of the most widely worshiped deities in the ancient Greek world, particularly in the Hellenistic period, because she addressed something that the other gods, with their domains of specific activities and natural forces, did not quite reach: the pure arbitrariness of what happens.
She was depicted holding a cornucopia, from which abundance could flow without warning, and a rudder, with which she steered the affairs of mortals without necessarily consulting their preferences.
As a result, Tyche was both the goddess you prayed to for good fortune and the one you blamed when it failed to arrive — the divine embodiment of the fact that not everything that happens is deserved.
Furthermore, the wheel is her most characteristic symbol: the turning wheel of fortune that could raise the lowly and bring down the powerful with equal indifference, that applied to kings and beggars alike.
The Trishyan Earrings carry the form of that turning: the twisted cage as the visual language of something that rotates, that interweaves, that changes its face as it moves — the same gold, always, but never presenting the same angle twice.
The Design of the Trishyan Earrings
The Trishyan Earrings translate Tyche’s turning wheel into 18k gold. Each piece is a twisted cage drop — a form in which gold elements spiral around a central axis, each element weaving over and under its neighbors in a continuous interlace that reads as both structured and in motion.
As a result, the Trishyan Earrings carry both the visual language of fortune’s wheel and the quality of something whose face is always changing: the same form seen from a different angle every moment.
The Turning Cage
The twisted cage form is the soul of this design. Specifically, the interlaced gold elements create a surface that reads differently from every angle — sometimes dense and complex, sometimes open and airy, as the cage’s geometry presents different aspects depending on how the light falls.
Worn as drops on hooks, the Trishyan Earrings turn and shift with the movement of the wearer.
Furthermore, the cage form carries its own quality of containment and openness: the gold that holds but does not close, the form that is both boundary and invitation. In this way, the Trishyan Earrings carry Tyche’s essential quality: the understanding that fortune is not a force you can control, only one you can be ready to receive.
Trishyan Earrings in 18k Gold
In rose gold the twisted cage glows with warmth, the interlaced elements reading rich and alive as fortune at its most generous. In white gold the Trishyan Earrings turn cool and precise, the cage catching light with the even impartiality of fate.
In yellow gold they radiate with full golden intensity — the wheel of fortune at its most vivid, the cornucopia open and pouring. Whichever metal you choose, the cage turns.
Craftsmanship and 3D Precision
Each Trishyan earring was developed in 3D modeling software and brought to life through precision 3D printing and meticulous hand-finishing. The twisted cage demands digital modeling: each element of the cage must be placed at exactly the right angle so the interlace reads as continuous and consistent, the cage must hang true on its hook so it presents correctly when worn, and the two earrings of a pair must mirror each other exactly.
Hand-finishing polishes every surface. This is the precision that only the Friszman MD process can deliver reliably.
A Made-to-Order Piece
Like every Friszman MD creation, the Trishyan Earrings is made to order and hand-finished in 18k gold.
