Gemini Ring

$0.01

A sculptural zodiac ring in 18k gold, its twinned form inspired by the myth of Castor and Pollux — twin brothers who shared immortality rather than be separated. The Gemini ring is the constellation of duality and unbreakable connection. Made to order in São Paulo in rose, white, or yellow gold.

Description

Gemini ring takes its name from Gemini — the third sign of the zodiac, the constellation of the twins, and an air sign ruled by Mercury. In Greek mythology, Gemini represents Castor and Pollux, the Dioscuri — twin brothers born of the same mother but from different fathers.

Castor was mortal; Pollux was the son of Zeus and therefore immortal. When Castor was killed in battle, Pollux refused to accept his immortality without his brother. He asked Zeus to let him share it. As a result, Zeus placed both twins in the sky, where they spend alternate days in Olympus and the underworld — together in one realm, then the other, never separated for long.

Because of this, Gemini is above all a constellation about connection. It is the sign of the bond that cannot be broken, the duality that is stronger than either half alone.

The Design of the Gemini Ring

The Gemini ring translates that myth of duality into 18k gold. The band carries two elements that mirror and balance each other — twin forms that sit together in the metal, neither dominant, each completing the other. The design reads as both unified and doubled: one ring, two presences.

As a result, it captures the central paradox of the Gemini constellation: two things that are different yet inseparable. Furthermore, the band is sculpted to reward close attention — the more carefully you look at the Gemini ring, the more clearly the twinned structure reveals itself.

Duality and Connection

The twinned form is the soul of this design. Specifically, the two elements within the band sit in a tension that is also a harmony — like Castor and Pollux, like day and night, like the mortal and the immortal held in a single shared space.

Worn on the hand, the Gemini ring catches the light in two different ways at once, because its two elements are angled differently to the world. Furthermore, no two viewpoints reveal quite the same balance. In this way, the ring carries Gemini’s essential quality: the understanding that the most interesting things are always doubled, and that completeness requires both halves.

Gemini Ring in 18k Gold

In rose gold the twinned band glows with warmth, the two elements reading intimate and close, like brothers standing together.

In white gold the Gemini ring turns cool and precise, the twin forms catching light with clean, equal brilliance. In yellow gold it radiates with full intensity — the most direct echo of the twin stars, Castor and Pollux, which shine together in the night sky as two of the brightest points in the constellation.

Whichever metal you choose, the twinned form holds its meaning.

Craftsmanship and 3D Precision

Each Gemini ring was developed in 3D modeling software and brought to life through precision 3D printing and meticulous hand-finishing in São Paulo, Brazil. The twinned design demands digital modeling: both elements must be perfectly symmetrical and mirror each other exactly, the band must sit comfortably on the finger despite its doubled structure, and the proportions must read as balanced rather than crowded.

The mirroring is particularly important — any asymmetry between the two elements would undermine the essential meaning of the piece. Hand-finishing then polishes every surface to a high shine. This is the precision that only the Friszman MD process can deliver reliably.

A Made-to-Order Piece

Like every Friszman MD creation, the Gemini ring is made to order and hand-finished in 18k gold. Explore the full rings collection to see how each design draws its form from mythology and the cosmos.
